The associate editor of the NEJM Journal Watch, Jenny Radesky, MD, reviews an article on early intervention services (EI) from the June 2018 issue of Pediatrics from the American Academy of Pediatrics. The article, “Ensuring Timely Connection to Early Intervention for Young Children With Developmental Delays,” examines a three-part quality improvement (QI) project aimed at improving the rate of early intervention evaluation for children aged birth to three years.
